GENERAL
After receiving your Biltong, the best way to store it is to keep it in the fridge or on the kitchen counter once you’ve opened the package. It takes about 30 minutes to reach room temperature and soften up after being taken out of the fridge. There are no preservatives, so mold can occur.
Occasionally, depending on the humidity in your area, the dried Biltong may appear to have a touch of white. This is salt trying to re-hydrate and is safe. You can wipe it off with white vinegar.
During the drying process meat loses weight as it looses moisture. The amount of weight loss depends entirely on how “wet” or “dry” the Biltong Lover prefers the end product. For those who prefer Biltong so dry that it flakes into dust when breaking it into portions will experience much greater loss of weight than those preferring it “wet and fatty”.
A rule of thumb guesstimate is a loss of about 50%+.
Current legislation makes it exceedingly difficult to ship meat products out of the country, so UK it is for now.

When your order has been successfully received by our system, you’ll be directed to a confirmation page. A confirmation e-mail will also be sent to the e-mail address you specified when you registered, providing the details of your order.

Yes, normal orders can be cancelled with no charge provided it has not been sent out for delivery.

We are committed to rectifying any problem caused by ourselves and we will deliver the correct items free of charge.
Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, however we are happy to refund any packs that have not been opened or damaged in anyway. Within 7 Days from receipt.
To complete your return, we will require a receipt or proof of purchase.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable).
Pre made selection Packs with missing /damaged/used packs.
Any item not in its original condition, if damaged for reasons not due to our error.
Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery.

Click on the “My Account” icon on the top right of the website, click on the “Account Details” button and update as needed. Make sure you click the “Save Changes” button when you are satisfied with your updates.
Yes, your contact and billing information is kept confidential. Your information and that of our subscribers will never be distributed or sold.
On the login screen, click on the “Forgotten Password” link and follow the prompts. An email will be sent to you with a password reset link. Click on the link in the email to reset your password. Alternatively, contact us at contact@biltongcottage.co.uk for help in resetting your password.
Click on the “My Account” icon on the top right of the website, click on the “Account Details” button and fill in the old password and new password fields. Make sure you click the “Save Changes” button when you are satisfied with your new password.
Go to the “My Account” page to change delivery and other related information on your account with us. Another option is to change the delivery address during the checkout process.
